Some painted examples of the new Skythians from Newline Designs 20mm ancients range. Here we have the heavy and light horse warriors. With Skythians or Saka appearing in quite a few army lists throughout the classical era, they are a very useful addition.
I've been continuing on with the rebasing which has been flowing well. Still have to update the blog with recent units that have been completed and quite a few rebases need some photographs taken. I would like to set up Lost Battles up again and play through Cannae, as well as getting a few more games of Strength & Honour in. For Strength & Honour I'm looking at playing larger battles, but to do this I'll have to revert to 1 base = 1unit, inevitably the smaller grid size means skirmishers need a work around. I decided to mount a few figures individually as skirmisher markers , I've made a start with that while rebasing.
Next up will be Velites, I'm not sure when as keeping the blog updated is still proving difficult.
